Why was this smoking?

    so i hook up that battery and a huge plume of smoke comes from this thing, looks like its a ground and i think i short circuited something but im not an electrician.

    the thing that smoked is a power distribution block, its + not ground. you must have a short some where

    oh...positive, then yes there was a piece touching the brake boosters, i hope i dont hafta rewire it. well tomorrow is another day.

    Omething like that smoked on my friend's Subaru when he connected the battery backwards. Did you?

    Good call. There is a hard-to-identify fusible link running to that distribution block. It is covered just like one of the wires. Inspect the wires attached to that, and I bet you find the link is popped.

    ya i grounded the wrong wire..woops, yes u see snow, i was one of the few texans out working on their rig in upper 20 degree weather, all i can say is Carhartt Coveralls.
