Anyone heard of these tires? I had a set of these on my '90 Toyota 8 or 10 years ago. Cheap econo tires, but some of the best rubber I've had suprisingly. The tread design was very similar to BFG A/T's but the tire worked better than the BFG's in my opinion. I'd like to get a set for my K5 now, but I can't find them anywhere. I got them at a small local shop back then but its now out of business. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Not even real sure what the actual brand of the tire is, they just had "Wide Climber... Radial RVT" on them. Nothing conclusive coming up on Google besides they are possibly a 'Remington' tire?? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif Other hits to that name are an 'Apache' tire, but that tread design is definitely not it.

I have alwas herd them refered to as RVT tires. I had a set of 36" tires that looked similer to a ground hog for quite a while. They were the toughest/longest lasting tire I have ever owned. I'm prety sure they don't make my tire anymore, but I think eather K-mart or Wal-mart carried a tire with RVT written on the side of it...don't know if it is the same company or not, but worth checking out.
