wierd squeeking and ticking???

    94 fullsize blazer.......when backing up and taking of from a stop i hear squeeking and sometimes a loud tick from the backend.....wheels? the tick bothers me more then the squeek. i must add it does not happen at all times and only after complete stop. any ideas? differential problem?

    well then dont do that anymore and it wont make that noise... jack the truck up put jack stands under the axle and spin the tires if you hear the noise then take off the diff. cover and look inside for metal chunks.     check u joints. My rear u joint squeaked because it was destroyed and had no grease in it(oops). Just replaced it and the squeaking went away.
