The fence was probably not tied/clipped at the bottom. The car went under and the fence flipped up and let him through.

    Neat clip though!

Several years ago I was working as a security guard at a construction site and the exact same thing happened some idoit came plowing through the chain link fence and hit a front end loader. The fence was no worse for the wear. It was kind of weird to watch

I watched a kid on a quadrunner do that this past summer. He was on a rental bike, hit the gas and went straight for a chain link fence. To my amazement, the fence was not coupled to the post and opened/closed for the kid/quad like that's what it was meant to do. One second after he'd passed 'under' the fence, the fence looked 100% normal. But, I guess that's too much for those particular cops to realize, it was easier to label it a 'ghost car' and leave than to get out and actually check the fence.

Car goes thru chain link fence, fence does not fall down, 2 possible conclusions: 1) fence is not fastened correctly, or 2) omg I just saw a ghost car! They chose.... number 2? hmmm Its like a scene from supercops or something.
