d60 and 14b with detroits and manual, big block, and me driving in a bad mood (i.e. lots of clutch dropping and hard acceleration, even the occasional WOT, /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif)

    would i need rockwells?

    they'd look kick ass under a /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif

that's gonna get expensive, /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif next question, can i run 49's on a stock deuce and a half? is there enough room between the 2 rear axles?

that would look cooler than anything! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

the rockwells are toplaoders, so your going to need a ton of lift to keep them off your oil pan...

I think they'd hold up with the right shafts and slugs instead of hubs.

rockwells aren't THAT expensive. A well build Dana 60 and 14 bolt would probably cost more. www.usa6x6.com you could get both axles for like 2k with parts you need I think. Driveshafts, lift, and brake lines as well as steering aren't as simple as 1 ton axles but hey thats what you get. I wouldn't recommend going full hydro since it won't be street legal(I believe in any state) and you won't be able to feel the road, aka good luck steering down a street without wandering side to side like crazy.

if you want to have the ultimate axles... then go and buy 5-ton crane axles (rockwell 5 tons), and take it apart. Put everything into a 2.5 ton Rockwell housing. It will fit, but you'll have to cram it, and it will take some fab work. Then you have 5-ton (non toploader) axles with 4wheelsteer. What else could you ask for? /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

BTW... this is what my uncle does on his Monster trucks. www.wildmannracing.com
