Will 16\" rims fit One Ton Axles? Are Goodyear MTR\'s available in 16\" size?

If I get that combo (see separate post about it) I will be selling my 33X12.5X15 BFG AT's and Centerlines................will then go up to 8 lug wheels and tires. What I am targeting now is 16 x 10 wheels with the Goodyear MT-R 35" tire............IF it is available in 16". Thanks for the help guys.............

IMHO The ONLY way to go with 1 ton axles is 16" rims. The 15's require too much caliper grinding and the 16.5s have no safety bead. I'm running 16" rims with 36x12.5x16 TSL Radials. As wether or not the goodyears come in a 16, I'd almost guarantee they do, but that's not for certain. Hope to help.

I run a 15" wheel, in the front I groun very little of the calipers, I also run a 1/4inch spacer. It has been this way for a while now and has caused me no problems at all. I like running a 15" wheel because out on the trail you are more likely to find a spare or in case of an emergency. Also there is a greater selection of tires. Just my .02 HAVE A NICE DAY!!!

The largest 16" size in the MT/R I have seen listed so far is a 285/75R16 which is approximately 32.5" tall and 11" wide.

I've got the 16" rims on mine and the only problem I've found is a very limited selection of tire sizes.

I noticed in one of the latest 4x4 mags that the Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips are being offered in 36" and 38" with the 16" rim size.

good thing I didn't guarantee they do come in 16" sizes then. I think the 1 ton running gear might run different sizes somehow. I tried to fit a set of 15x10 8 holes on my front calipers and I was going to have to do a LOT of grinding and I've only got a 3/4 ton D44 front for now.

JUST GET A NEW SET OF SWAMPERS

Actually I am leaning towards Swampers (probably Radial SSR's). If by the time the MT/R's aren't available in 35" I will go with a real mud tire [IMG]. Learned a good lesson yesterday..........stay the heck away from mud with All Terrains. Absolutely useless in our good Oregon mud. Useless as nubs on a boar hog. Almost got stuck...............all by myself..........two mistakes in one day. Wheeled alone and All Terrains in a pretty good sized mud puddle. Thank god for torque.

All-Terrains quickly become racing slicks in gumbo. [IMG] Been there. Done that! [IMG]

It was at the corner of 242nd (Hogan Road) and Palmquist, about a mile south of Powell Blv'd...........there is a big field that is for sale, no trespassing signs and lots of tracks (meaning lots of guys use it) so I locked the hubs in and went for it...............was a fair bit of mud and lots of rutted trails........and one pretty BIG mudhole. Almost got me..........thank god for the posi and lo-lock.

My A/Ts really suck in the mud too. i almost got stuck twice, but got out of it. The first time I did it I went with a guy that had a 2WD truck but was just going to pull me out if I got stuck. On the trail back to the road, I put it in 2WD and said, lest see how far you could have gotten. I got it buried to the top of the back bumper...but got out by myself.
