I am having a He** of a time getting a D60 front. For the time being I want to upgrade my GM 10 bolt and GM 12 bolt setup in a 1979 K5 blazer.

I have a friend that has a matching set of Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear that came out of a Dodge Power Wagon. Could I get that under the K5? What all would I have to change. I am a good welder but need to know what would be involved in the swap. Thanks in advance for you help.

There may be some issues for the rear, like brake fittings or shock mounts, but nothing that you shouldnt be able to handle. That would be a good upgrade.

I dont see any reason to go to the Dana 44, unless there is a flat top knckle. That would allow cross over steering.
