Probably 180 out. reset to TDC number one cylinder, spin dizzy around 180 (to number 1 or 6, whatever it is currently NOT on)

    Then try again!

Is it a new or used HEI? I bought a used HEI to put in my '72 I had in high school, dropped it in and wouldn't fire. I double checked everything and couldn't figure it out. A friend came over and he noticed that the timing advance was not working. He went and grabbed one he had, dropped it in and it fired right up. :D Hope you get it running. :thumb:
