    Helped my friend this weekend and he gave me a steering box from a 90 something 2 wheel drive chevy. will this box or shaft off it work for crossover on my 69??

    he also gave me a hydroboost of unknown origin. anybody know of any discriminating marks on these? there are a few numbers but noothing that says gm. did anybode else ever use hydroboost?

    aren't the steering boxes on the 88+ Chevys(except V chassis) mounted on the inside of the framerail? If so it wouldn't work then would it?

    I think blazer and suberbin were the same till 91 or 92 not sure exactly but I know thwy made it until at least 90 in the old body style

    it was on the inside. i didnt know that mattered. i thought i just needed the shaft anyway so i was asking.

    '91 was the last model year for the solid axle Blazers/Jimmys/Suburbans. In '92 they switched to the IFS and newer body style.

    yeah but if its the newere style box will the sector shaft work in his stock box?
