i heard that xylene is used to THIN por-15. i have already done my floorboards in por-15. now i am going to apply herculiner OVER the por-15. in order to prep for the herc, you need to clean the surface with xylene. will this screw up my por-15? do i need to put a special primer over the por-15? help please. thanx in advance.

I would email the guys at Restomotive Labs - I have done that before and they answer pretty quickly.
No,w in my opinion, it would not harm cured POR-15. Some of the HD paint remover will mess it up, ask me how I know, but I think xylene would be safe. Best to ask Resto though.
I assume you are aware that the POR dries to a very smooth ceramic finish. You can clean it all day with xylene and it still won't let Herculiner stick to it.
You need to take some 180 grit and give the POR some tooth.

Por also makes a primer to spray over the Por to allow you to paint right over it. You might want to look into it, it's on their website!
