Looks like some of you guys are in for a rough ride over the weekend. Really hope it blows out or changes course. You've all had enough 'nature' over the last few month what with New Orleans, NJ and California a few days ago
    Good luck all.

It sucks for south Fla., but I can honestly say that I'm glad to see that it's not coming here. We have had plenty crappy weather this year. Map here.

I have a trip planned for the Fort Myers FL area next month.
I hope that it's still there and not too torn up when we go.
I also own a time share in Cancun that should be getting slambed right now.
It's goning to really suck if both of my favorite places get smashed :doah: .

Any of our Brothers down there, take care and keep us informed of what is going on.

In Burbank there was one road that flooded and took some cars down the hill. Was in the burn area - (burned 3 weeks ago). No big deal really. We just had an unseasonal rain that actaully was rain and not drizzle. Media always blows it out of proportion.

It's one of those, "You know you're in CA when it drizzles and the news cuts into whatever show you're watching with "STORM WATCH 2005!!" to report that the street got damp.

The mudslide sucked for the few people on that road with cars not in the driveway, and we had some great rain, along with thunder and lightning (uncommon in L.A.) but I'll bet all the news showed was the 3 cars caught in the mud and led everyone to believe that the city was a mud version of Pompei.

Yeah that was about it. I kept watching though hoping you'd come round the corner on full lock throwing up 20' roosters over the film crew!! :D

Thats funny! If you Southern Peeps (no offense Pam) got half the rain we get up here on the North Coast most of you would probably be packing your bags. I did see a few weeks ago the rain down there, I was thinking to Myself that those were just showers :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:haha::haha::haha:Yea, southern, had I known I would've been up there in a flash (pun intended). Now THAT would've been footage worth watching! I'll get something like that in this year and have someone forward the footage to the news channels. They'll run it.

Corey: Last year we had 53" of rain where I live. That's 20 more than Seattle gets in a year. Personally I loved it. Drove the truck around for months as a DD, through the mud and washed out roads. Was great.

But yes, I agree. SoCal peeps are total weather wimps. Most people here had apoplectic fits as soon as the drizzle turned into real rain. When it went on for as long as it did, I thought they'd start jumping out out of windows in desperation. And in fact they did, in mass numbers. Only problem was, most everyone lives in one story homes here.

I'm 60 miles north of Fort Myers. To board up the windows or not, that is the question.

Board them up and bug out. Huricanes suck (I'm sure that you knew that already).
