I have seen some decent prices on ebay.

carparts.com just droped their price on the 8274-50, imo the best winch out there. Ratings are bs anyways. But it's down to 999.99!

But, the Pierce winches have tiny little lotors. Like 2 hp or something like that. Doesnt seem like it would have the strength any where near that of a Warn or Ramsey, etc.

Plus, I have only heard of a few people with good experiences with them. I ahve heard of a few bad though also.

    Anyone else?

    Thanks,
    Ken H.

I see where you are going with the post. But, man was that confusing!

That may be jsut the casing of the motor... there are a lot of things that can be done with the same motor to make them perform differant. Just like a Chevy 350. Depends on how old it is and what performance mods have been done.

But, I may have to look into the Pierce winch a little more.

    Thanks
    Ken H.

Try Central the ones advertising on this site... they have a rebate on all Warns over 6000lb for $125... I'm planning on running to them Saturday here in town to price something so I can ask them a few questions for you if you like.... also just do a searcn for Warn Winches and you'll pull up lots of sites... lots offer free shipping. Price around you can find the 9500lb winches for the price of the 9000lb ones if you look hard enough.... if you got a 4WPW... well, you can get it from them. They will match any advertised price. Try to get em to throw in an accesory bag too... with the gloves, line weight and snatch block... just look around and you'll find a good deal....
