    Hey Steph
My advise is to hold off on the winch for now, wait till you can afford a 12000lbs winch.
I broke down with a full size jeep this week end which is about 500lbs lighter than a stock blazer with 31"tires and all the 9000lbs winches couldn't move it in the snow. They had to put the shackle on and double line to get me out.
I got a warn 12000 but I didn't have time to hook it up.
But it's the least you want with a 1ton blazer with big tires.
