winches?

    ok well i want a winch..doesnt everybody?? i have heard that u should get a winch that should double the weight of ur vehicle..is this true? cuz if it is, then i would have to get like a 12,000lbs winch! thats huge!!

    I believe the rule is to get 1 that is 1.5 times the wieght of your vehicle, so like a 9000lb minimum.

    i run a xd9,000i warn winch and have had no problems pulling mine i would sugest you buy a snach block as well though /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    sounds good,plus the 9000 is a little cheaper than a 12,000..but still 12,000lbs, that will pull anything!! haha ok thanks

    I run a 8000 and it is fine, but i have just used it to assist on steep hills that cause tire spine, i have not had to use it to pull me out of Mud.
