ok so its time for a serious thread
if you havent seen it, its worth the rent... good flick
I was disappointed, Cage gave a sh!tty performance and the historical aspect was lack luster to say the least.
Two thumbs down.............
The story was cool, but the battle scenes seemed a little too "staged", IMHO. I compare every war movie to Saving Private Ryan, and most of other movies can't hold a candle to the way it was filmed.
It's worth watching, though.
"We were Soldiers" was a much better flick IMO.
have to check it out then....
"Windtalkers" actually kind of sucked......................
I thought it kinda sucked, too. Interesting concept, but it actually made me realize what a bad actor Nicolas Cage actually is. Ever since I saw that movie, I notice how he's lame in everything.
You mean like Con Air and Face Off
Yeah. Con Air was really bad... Embarrassing bad...
The true story behind this would make a fantastic movie... I don't know why hollywood can take historical fact and make such a contrived and unbelievable mess out of it. The movie is ok to watch once, I wouldn't pay to do so however.
We were soldiers was an awesome movie.
"we were soldiers was a pretty good flick, much better than Windtalkers. BUT they changed alot of the movie, like the entire ending. The book was great. I understand they couldn't cover the entire book , the movie would have been 6 hours.
