Gotta change the rear main seals, get some ice tires, add some coolant (its too thin right now) put some thin synthetic oil in, and get crackin on tuning the chip up so she'll start when it gets real cold out.

Already replaced the block heater thermostat and heater core, she should be good to go pretty quick :)

I'm afraid to put good antifreeze in anything until the last possible minute. Otherwise the radiator goes bad, a hose blows, or something makes me lose all the new coolant I just bought.

    me too!

I SWEAR new prestone has a "leak seeking" agent that causes leaks!. :hack: .every time I've flushed out a radiator, and put in new (and expensive) prestone,it leaks sure as S*** somewhere the next day, either at the hose clamps, radiator spings a leak,or the friggin water pump starts dripping out of the "pee" hole!.. ..

I got to the point where I just used my old anti-freeze over when I do a motor swap,(i filter it out by straining it thru an old woolen sock!)--and add a bottle of that "booster" or "water pump lube" stuff in instead..and I add used 50/50 antifreeze I can get free from the junkyards or my friends shop to "top off" if I'm a little low...so far, none on my trucks have leaked a drop!--I just make sure its safe for -10 degrees, and say screw it..I only drive them 2000 miles a year, sometimes even less..this year,a LOT less, thanks to the fuel prices.. :(

Put a coat of wax on it, too, so the snow/ice slides off easier.
