I have a factory tach (one like that going in the dash). I'm considering trying to install it.
There is a red (12V), Black (ground) and brown (marked coil)

Where on an 87 blazer with the remote coil can the tach's coil wire be installed? Can it be installed?

I believe it goes to the pos terminal on the coil... Not 100% on that.

the coil wire? if its hei, look at the distributor, and from the drivers side, there is a connector closest to the firewall, and forward of it (to the front of the truck) is a single wire, i believe if you splice into that single wire, you will have tach feed

Whats the coil look like where the plug goes into it?

Is there another connector there with nothing on it? If so, thats the tach feed. White on my '88 TPI setup.
