Okay fellas/gals I wouldnt consider myselfs a newbie at riging things up but converting my manual crank rear window to electric is becoming a nightmare...I have burnt two motors(luckily cheap and used), and spent numerous dollars on other things includng having the power lock rekeyed....now i am back to the crank again. I have all the parts and even spares I could just really use a wiring diagram for this one...save me more time that i really shouldnt be spending on this...or if some one could tell me what needs constant power/acc power/no power/ground that alone would be helpful....
I need to know what the following wires are for coming out of the rear window motor/lock:
    Pink?
    Peach/White?
    Blue?

What? You think the hole is too deep? Lemme see...

Pink - hot only in run (sorry that is what it says, I'd assume ign.)
Peach / white is actually tan /white - lower
    blue - raise
orange black - hot at all times

Glad to see that this issue may be one that needs to be addressed and that i'm not the only one out there struggling....come on guys I know all of you didnt just do a complete tailgate swap even if you did you can tell me where you plugged in the wires into the fuse box/switch etc....

Out of 3000 members someone has to know something or other

I believe the orange/black wire which is always hot goes to the keyed switch. The keyed switch should be three pole, one is constant hot, the other is the tan...which sends the window down. The third would be the blue which sends the glass back up. The tan and the blue would go to the motor itself from the keyswitch, and then out through the gate to the switch in the dash. I honestly don't remember the pink wire...not at the tailgate anyways. The pink wire must be the power going to the dash switch.

I looked through my diagrams but didn't find anything on the rear glass motor. Of course, not having a rear power glass in my K30, I didn't make copies of the diagrams you need. I got my diagrams by going to the main public library here in Phoenix and making copies of the shop manual diagrams. Might be something for you to look into...

Kind of off the subject, but I know my friend mudnutt is looking for the inards for a hand crank and he has an electric one already. Maybe if you pm'd him if you are interested in getting rid of it he may help relieve you of those parts......

I will consider that indeed....as of right now i'm not sure of my goals so I may hang onto it for the time being...so many people like electric like I do just so you dont have to crank....and the other like crank cuz electric crapped out...especially if I start getting into the bogs and stuff having a functional rear window may be nice
I will keep that in mind

Take advantage of your tax dollars. Go to the Public Library and they will have the HELM manuals available on Mico Fische. 10cents a copy [IMG] Need to go to one of the bigger branches.

Grim -- I am pretty sure even my school(LSU) library may even have it being that I am at the state university and we have a HUGE research library. I wouldnt have thought to search the Micro Fische off the back... I appreciate the heads up...
