I am wondering if anybody knows where I can get a complete wiring harness for my 82 K5, I tried painless but that kit doesn't have any connecters or anything and I have heard there a pain in the arse. I tried the chevy dealer but no luck. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Keep looking, I got mine from Mothertruckers((wouldn't carry yours) but I've seen a couple places that have them for mine...I don't see why they wouldn't for yours.

    Good luck

Well I was gonna say Painless, but it looks thats not gonna work for ya. If your electricly inclined, or have some friends that are, you could get the wiring diagrams and re-wire it your self. Not really hard to do, just a lot of work and its not the funnest thing to be doing.

After looking around I found this guy on Ebay with a good looking kit!!! I can't seem to find these kits online anymore for some reason but you can check with him he had about 10 online at one time /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif He also had smaller kits if you only need a 12 or 18 circuit kit.

21 Circuit Complete Wire Kit $185.00

Factory fit has reproduced GM harness up to 1980.
I don't know what changes were made in those two years but maybe it will work for you.
I rewired my 71 with their harneses and their quality and fit is A1. All factory terminal ends are included and are already assembled on the wires.

The price has come down since I bought one last year. I did not have too much trouble except when it came to the headlight switch. My kit had me run a jumper wire to provide power to another pole on the switch in order to make the tail lights work. Unless things have changed, don't expect a lot of good technical help.
This looks like the same kit the e-bay guy wants $20 more!
Do a search; I belive there are other posts out there on this.
Something to keep in mind also: I have no A/C, cruise, or power anything to deal with.
