I am happy for you. You might be getting it for free....but not if you figure your time - right. Well anyway congratulations to you again. So you want to put a 6.2 in your K5?

waht i want to put in my K5 is a good question. i ask myself that every day. as of now i have a 350 going back in it. the possibilities of a 350 tbi, thanks to you, and would like a diesel some day. prefer a 6.5. in a perfect world a 6.5 with a nice turbo on it. a big one....
    or a 502.

in a way you are right. i worked off the stuff i am getting, but ask yourself this, "if i could get "paid" to work at a junk yard any time i wanted for as long or little as i wanted doing JUST WHAT I want, is it work, or fun? because i dont do anything i dont want to do, other than fix powerline i knock down, at the junk yard. to me it is just experience. and "free" parts /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I think it was Doug (AZBLAZER) that wanted the pictures. The m1009 (K5) is a 84. The m1008 is unknown. I can't get the vin to decode. They are VERY,VERY stripped. They only components left are the engine block/heads in both. The trany and TC in the M1008. They both have the front axles except each front axle is missing left hub/rotor/caliper. Thats IT, no interior, glass, tailgates, dash, steering column - NADA!n I need to get them rolling to remove them from the property. My younger son wants to build the K5 in to a runner. Eventually I'll make the Pickup into a runner using 1/2 or 3/4 ton stuff.
