Ok, I made my first tie rod and installed it over the weekend. It works GREAT! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I am ready to produce them for others, but there is a catch. I was hoping to be able to make them for around $50 each. I can't /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. I can do it for around $65 (+ride) each though /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. I realize that is much higher than I initially stated, but that is as cheap as I can do it. I did look around, and I can't get one to my door for less than $100 so it's still an ok deal. If anyone is still interested, please pm me. I am not going into business here, just trying to help out my fellow wheeling friends while I have access to the tooling. Oh, yeah, I'd like to have the $$ up front and then it'll be around 2 weeks for delivery. I only have the tools for a limited amount of time, so I'll need to know by Friday may 9th who wants one. Click the link in my sig and go to the modifications file to see pics of the tie rod.

I used the Rockstomper u-bolt clamp for the Rock Rod on the K5........no need for it to be flat, as the clamp kit has 3 u-bolts keeping it from moving. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

No, the jamb nuts come with the tie rod ends. I'll give out the part numbers to those who buy from me. I am treading carefully here because I don't want Mr. Fox to think I am trying to advertise here. I am not starting a business, and this is kind of a one time shot. I don't want this to get misconstrued and end up banned from the site.

    Me explainum to biggum dummy...

The stabilizer needs a different type of mount. It is a u-bolt style. You can buy them from ORD for about 25$. I am going to make my own, because I can cut my existing mount (the part that goes through the tie rod) and weld it to a plate with the u-bolts. Then it will work fine. Also, If you got to a different style of stabilzer like a dual from Rancho, Heckethorn, BDS, or the like, they come with the style you need for a tie rod like this.

    Now youum understandum HEWHOFARTSALOT???
