Woohoo!!!! Payday today!! So... I already got everyone else's Christmas presents, now time for (as Toby Keith would say) ME!

I ordered the 350 GM Crate (249 HP model) from Scoggin Dickey. Should be here in a couple of days! Yesterday I ordered all the accessories for the engine from Summit (intake, cam, fuel pump, water pump, etc). That stuff shipped last night and UPS says it will be here Monday! Two boxes of stuff, one weighs 50 lbs, the other 36 lbs!

Guess I have incentive for finishing my honey-do projects over the holidays!!!! Man I am so pumped!! Nothing like dumping $2500 in the rig!!

I CAN'T WAIT to get that thing in place of that wimpy 305!

    Woohoo.

Okay, I am breathing again now. Just had to share with my family! I'll take lots of pics so you can all share in the experience (without the grease, oil, or skinned knuckles... except you, sluggo45acp and jaybird).

Youl like the crate motor. Much more power than the 305s. I use to have a 305 and when I put the 350 in it was like adding nitrous to the 305.

Let's see, in June my rig was bone stock (except 15x10 aluminum wheels and 32x11.50x15 BFG ATs and dual tube bumpers). Since then:

    New R-134 A/C
    180A alternator
    4" Rough Country full-spring lift
    Dual steering stabilizer
    Greaseable HD ORD front shackles
    Fenders trimmed
    Bushwacker Cut-out flares
    1" ORD body lift
    ORD Bolt-on steering brace
    Custom dual batteries
10 Offroad lights pointing a variety of directions
    4x6 Conn Ferr roof rack
    35x12.50x15 BFG MTs
    15x10 Centerline Hellcats
    4.56 gears
    Detroit C-Lockers (front and rear)
    ORD swaybar disconnects
    New body mounts
    Poly swaybar and spring bushings
    Tow hooks

    Now the new engine.

Next, on-board air, (possibly) underhood welder, new carpet, and new paint.
Then, this truck becomes the tow vehicle as I start work on a older K5 trail rig! Hope to have it finished by Xmas next year!

    I am still soooo pumped!!

I could only wish to make so many mods so quickly! My motor will be up this spring and can hardly wait.
