    I officially hate work.

I'm pretty sure that I am gonna say f-it and renew my ASE's and go back to turning wrenches. Dunno if that's the smartest thing to do, but unless things change in the next few months, I'm out.

Got more info? Only thing I remember about your job is something with big honking engines.

Basically, there's alot of bs involved with it. Hopefully when my boss gets back in December things will be set straight. If not, I'm packing my bags.

The benefits are great, but the pay is lacking. Plus I only get paid once a month, and could make more money turning wrenches.

What job do you like more? Turning wrenches or running the dyno?

My happiness at a job is the most important thing to me.

I could go either way on this one. I like what I do there, but as was said before, without a good boss or good people, it sucks.

I could like this job more, and I should like it, but something is just missing.

I'm at work... My DNC terminal has high speed internet, and a Pentium 1. :doah:

For me, money is important right now, because I'm only looking at staying at this job until I'm done with school in June.

So: What are your future plans?

Dunno. Just wanna provide for my family. I guess it doesn't really matter what I do as long as we are making it. I could have bigger problems.

I'd love to go into business for myself at some point, doing something that pays the bills and makes me happy.

Just got a raise today, a full 1% higher than everybody else's. My boss is back and he will be managing the dyno cells only. Looks like the evil witch that works in the labs will get hers. We got a new contract with a new engine company, and while there may not be any work in the dyno cells, I am positioning myself to be able to do both jobs (R&D lab and Dyno) and keep my job as long as we are doing business.

    That is all.

    Things are looking up.

If the benefits are good, don't forget to figue them in when calculating pay. You might be surprised what they are worth.

Yeah, I was looking the other day at the total invested in me (pay, 401k, pension, health care) and it was shocking.

Maybe after the stuff goes into production I'll release some pics. Maybe in a month or two.
