I might have the opportunity to work in Europe for a couple of years. Anyone here done it? Anything I should be thinking about?

My wife and I both like to travel and my work is pretty seasonal so we could check out all of Europe during that time. I'd probably have to sell the K-5 but I can always get another. :eek1:

well europe is big you'd have to narrow down where you might be heading. I've never left the country but my father works for michelin and has to go to frace quite often my G/F mother travel to germany very frequently etc... so i could tell you what i've been told if you would be heading to either one of those locations

France - Paris to be exact. I left it out to avoid the necessary France bashing. Don't worry - I'd keep my American sensibilities. :wink1:

All politics aside, I've heard Europe is beautiful, and I wouldn't mind touring it one day. I'm sure you know this, and to be honest I relly have nothing unique to add to this thread, but there's a lottttttt of history over there, not to mention wierd people with funny accents. Like our friend SouthernSpeed... :wink1: :wink1:

Do It! If you can get paid to be in France and be a tourist at weekends you'll kick yourself later if you pass up the opportunity.
