Would anyone be intrested in a Blazer-bash in the Black Hills ??? If so, what all would you like to do ??? I'm intrested in setting up a bash, please let me know what everyone would like to do. I was thinking we could rent out some camp ground, (I'd be happy to find one with showers, water, elect., ...ect.) I like exploring for old abandoned gold mines and ghost towns. Pleanty of forestry roads to get deep in the woods for some serious wheeling. And more then enough places to leave the roads behind. We got rocks and mud. We got rivers you can cross, you name it. Please let me know what all you would be intrested in. I want to make sure it'd be fun for everyone.

I was hoping that quite a few you would be intrested, gess it depends on how far away you live. Maybe it'd be better to plan this for next year. It's kinda short notice for this summer and it'll give me time to look into everything. please reply to let me know the kinds of things you would be intrested in at a Blazer-bash, so I can find the perfect camp grounds. Would you want to be up by Mt. Rushmore ??? At a lake ?? Or more out in the sticks ??? I know quite a few areas

I would be very interested. Could probably have quite a few guys in the TC area here willing to give it a go. What you planning on there? I know they have some rocks there, but haven't seen much else. I believe there are a couple member from SD, a couple from ND, so maybe they would also be interested.

We got rocks, we got mud, we got trails, and trails, and trails. I was thinking of setting it up around the same time as the Dakota Territory Challange, so everyone could enjoy both events if they want to. I've been asking what everyone would like to do, so I can plan it acordingly. Whats your ideas ???? I want to make this enjoyable for everyone.

I'd like to set this up for Aug.27th through sept.2. The Dakota Territory Challange (sponcered by the black hills 4 wheelers) is from the 29th of Aug. to the 2nd of Sept. This way everyone could enjoy a Blazer-bash, and also put the heepsters to shame. Also be doing our own thing if you're not intrested in playing with the heeps. That's just my idea. They charge for The Dakota Territory Challannge, I have no intention to charge anyone for the Black Hills Blazer-bash. You'd just need to pay for your camping, and own expences, no fee's other then that. So what does everyone think ???

i would be in i grew up there and love the wheeling that is available.
the badlands might be a great place, or just about any road or not offers good wheeling.
the only bad news is my blazer is in the process of being built.

i will talk to my dad to see if he can remember any good spots

Please email me at Z3PR@NETSCAPE.NET if you're intrested . I'll keep count so I'll know how big of a campground we'll need. Thanks, Paul. Post here what all you would like for this "Blazer-Bash in the Black Hills"

Deadwood is fun. Alittle to much glitz with all the casinos, but it is a fun spot. Spearfish Canyon has some nice water falls, and I know a good trail that starts in there. The Badlands offer some good wheeling too. If it rains, The Badlands is great for mudding. The Black Hills offer pleanty of rock crawling and trails galor.

I think the biggest key to throwing a good event is all levels. There are guy that don't wheel much and don't wanna get any damage. There are middle of the roaders, and then of course the do anything hardcores. I also think it is crucial to have a shop or good place locally for any rigs that may break.

Well, we do have a good shop locally if someone breaks something. I'm sure the hardcore do anything people would enjoy the Dakota Territory Challange, thats why I want to set this up to coenside with it. My self, I just won't have my truck fully ready for that this year. I'll be happy to lead some trail runs, light rock crawling, and some mud providing we get rain. I really like exploring for old ghost towns out in the national forest. Thanks for your input, all sudjestions and recomendations are taken into consiteration.

I just got a email from the Black Hills 4 wheelers (BH4W) . They don't want a Blazer-Bash in the Black Hills to happen around the same time as thier Dakota Territory Challange. Something to with they only alowe 100 people to attened thier event. I personally think it's becouse they don't want thier heeps to be put to shame by Blazers !!!!!!! LOL. So I'll ask, when would be good for you ???? I'll try to set it up so as meny of you who would like to come can.

Don't bash the BH4Wheelers to bad. Overall they are a good group of people. Get ahold of Todd Beutel. I think his e-mail is rockblazer@aol.com check the www.bh4wheelers.com site for his e-mail. There is a picture of Todd's Blazer on picture pages 1, 5, 7, 14 and pic's of me on pages 10, 14. There were at least 2 extreme built Blazers besides mine in the club back in 2000. Todd, Blair and myself were known as the "Fat Boys" cause we had fullsize rigs that were not afraid to ga anywhere. They have some ultimate extreme rockcrawlin there. Man I wish I could get back there to do some more wheelin!!!! With Blazer Fest in June and Blazer Bash in August there is no way I could make a run there in July. Maybe next year I could make it out there. You really need Todd for a trail boss though. He can run most of the extreme trails out there blindfolded!!

The best campground around is Whispering Pines. They cater to wheelers of all kinds. The site for them is at www.bh4wheelers.com/Campground/campground.htm

I'd probably be interested. I'd prefer to stick to some easier trails, dont like to bash my truck up. Have a buddy with a K5 that might be interested also. Not sure what kind of work schedule I have for the summer. I live in the twin cities MN, so it would be a feasable trip for me.

Didn't mean to bash on them, I think they're a good club, just alittle pro heep. I'll be going on a trail run with them this Saterday. I belive Todd is suposta be there. I haven't meet meny members that aren't j**p owners, I'm hoping the "fat boys" will accept me better. Everybody was friendly, it's just the look on thier face when you tell them you drive something other then a j**p. I did speak with Brangler, and he said they really need the larger vichiles to get involved.
