To fill everyone in I made my own rear deck out of some 1/8" think plate steel. I almost have my rear deck plate almost done, it needs some minor shaping in a few places for a nice tight fit. Plus I took the time to make a frame support out of some angle iron for it to rest on. I was wondering if it would be worth seam welding around the outside perimeter of the deck or just take it in a few places? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I would think a 1-2" bead every 6" would be more than enough weld... I done some seam welding in the rear of my truck to hook the body back down to the floor and it used alot of wire and took a couple hours over a coulpe days.
pic1 pic2 pic3 Mainly I'm just trying to make it water tight again
