I like them. I even like the H2 look. How can you not like a big square box like vehicle?!

I'd take a real one, not any of that civilian crap. I've seen a civilian one. They're retarded. It's like what Jeep tried doing, they tried making the Wrangler a butt-wiper vehicle when it is supposed to be a no-bullshit vehicle.

<font color="blue">I took 3 H1's (not the Hummer-bodied-Yukon H2 POS) on some local trails, they weren't from the area and needed someone to show them around. I wasn't to impressed with thier capabilitys. They're intended for the desert, and thats where they work. Not on trails, thier just too wide

Personally, After working on them for the last 2 years of my life and driving them daily, I think they're worse than Jap Crap! They're a waste of material! If I had open rain on the Cannabolization(SP) point on Base, the ONLY thing I would take off the H1 hummer is the geared hubs..... That's it! /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

The Military versions are O.K., but when you get them stuck, it takes quite a bit to get them out. Visibility sucks, they are hot inside, and they need more motor.

If the funds were unlimited, I might take the frame and running gear minus the motor and try and put my 'Sub body on top of it.... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

My wife finally saw a H2 in a parking lot the other day, and she summed them up in just a few words: They look like a burb that has been hit by a semi from the rear, short, fat, and ugly as hell....and i would have to totally agree.

Why, when they absolutely suck? There was a guy in the Top Truck Challenge that ran one and it did not do well. It sucked in most of the events and even rolled in the obstacle course. The military ones are decent, but I'd take a M1008 over them any day. I even talked to a guy at the local base here and he said they think that the HUMMVE sucks and wished the CUCV was still in production.

BTDT, I'll take a CUCV before that POS. Too bad the gov didn't put HMMWV tires and CTIS on the Chevy, that would have been bad-ass.

Absolutely not, I think it's not quite as much of a waste of money as an H2 but still worthless in my opinion. There wide, under powered, under geared, bulky, heavy, low ground clearance, bad visibility, etc... Don't even get me started on the H2...

    -under-powered
    -over-weight
    -too long
    -to heavy
    -to wide
    -lack of suspension travel

These all look to be the oposite of what you would find in the Ultimate Offroad vehicle.
