Reminds me of some activities earlier in my misspent youth. We used to go hit up the country store for some Hiller Hi-Life (yep, Hi-Life, not MGD, didn't exist back then), and then head out to the reservoir. We would swipe our siblings or neighbors "Big Wheels" and take them with us. The spillway was about 200 yards long, straight down for most of it, then it leveled out for the last ten yards or so ending in a pond. We would embibe on the Miller's, take the seat off the Big Wheel, and then see who had the cajones to keep starting higher and higher up the spillway. After a hundred yards or so, you were doing Mach 8 with our hair on fire until you hit the pond. I can't believe nobody lost it and ended up with major road rash. Some guys did land in the water where it was a bit shallow and slid on the moss for a ways. Ah the stupidity of being young.........

haha, i actually just read the thread... :doah:

that pic is faked obviously, been floating around awhile now...

i have done hills similar to that back in the day and have hit 50 mph.. pretty scary stuff... i can do it, but i'm not heavily into it... i don't mind jammin up in the mountains doing 25 or 30, but you start pushing highway speeds and you can die pretty easily..

i've got some crappy pics around here of some big local hills i used to hit...

    lets see....

ok, well the pics suck and don't do the hills justice but heres a couple we used to bomb... my bud death wobbled in front of me on the first one, chest dove and ground his nipple off! :eek1: :doah: :haha:

roberts lane - our bud clocked me at 53 with his car on this one...
