    Heston steps down from NRA

I had heard last year he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease- did not realize he had such a progressive form of the disease.

Some Rebublican from Iowa takes over the top spot in the NRA Monday.....

    SO LONG SIR HESTON...... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

[/ QUOTE ] My father had it. He would get confuced about everything, and got lost in the backyard a few times. Terrible doesn't begin to decribe it. My father was so strong and confident, after it struch him, he was like a child in his mind. Didn't know if it was 1992 or 1922. He passed away in 1996. I miss my dad alot, but am happy that he's not suffering from the mind killer anylonger. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

step dads father had it, i can't remember how many times he would leave his apartment in town and just start to walk. how many nites i was running round the "not so good section" of town lookin for an old man who didn't know anything. also my grandmother had it, and she just forgot everything she ever knew. almost burnt her house down because she forgot how to put a fire out.
