saw this item in a chiltons manual (blazer/jimmy 1969-82) on pages 186 & 187. this thing mounts on the 4x4 shift stick and is held on by a set screw. it lets you know what 4x4 gear you are in , (all metal). it runs down the side of the rubber shift boot. thanks ahead of time.

im not sure, but we may not be talking about the same thing. ill be looking forward to seeing the pic when you send it. this item, im talking about, is all metal, fastens to the shifter stick via a set screw, runs down the boot, and forms an arrow to indicate what gear 4x4 is in. but the pic will clarify everything. thanks for all your efforts. much apprecited.
