WHAT THE F#@(* happened? :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

    There should be a folder with your bookmarks somewhere... Try looking under the program files folder on your hard drive (usually something like c:/program files/mozilla/.../favorites/)

    Steve.

    Before you do anything else go to the Mozilla site and ask for tech help. They will usually e-mail you in 24 hours or less with a solution.

    Reboot your computer, when you open the browser, click on default.

    Program Files>Mozilla Firefox>defaults>profile>bookmarks.html

    That is where your bookmarks file is located. I dunno if this will help your problem, but I back up this file everynow and then. Click Bookmarks in the browser window, then Manage Bookmarks. Then click File, then Export. Choose where ya want the bookmarks file to be saved, then click Save. If you loose your bookmarks, or reformat or whatever, go through the same process, but click Import instead. Then look for the file you exported before, and your bookmarks are back to normal. You can also do this to transfer your bookmarks onto another computer. I did this when I re-formatted my desktop. I exported the bookmarks off my laptop, then imported them into Firefox on my desktop. Simple.

    Dunno if this helps your current problem, but might help in the future. :)

    Click on Bookmarks-> Manage Bookmarks. A new window will open. In that window, click on File -> Import and select "From file". Then browse to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\profile\bookmarks.html and click open. All of your bookmarks will then get copied to your "Steve" profile. :cool1:

    This is one place where IE really kicks Mozilla in the a$$. IE will let you import bookmarks, cookies, and cache from another account. Firefox only imports the bookmarks as far as I can tell. :(

    weird...when I opened "Import" I had the option to transfer my old IE ones, or from a file. I clicked file, opened the defaults, then profile, then bookmarks...the only thing that was on there was google, and some other one. :confused:
    I clicked on IE the second time, and got most of my bookmarks back, but I need the rest. The ones I have gotten are on welding, and a whole bunch of 4x4 stuff I need.
    I will find the mozilla help website and find out...

    Any luck on getting them back yet?

    An easy way, do a search for bookmarks.html and see how many come up. Then start going down the list and double clicking them and looking to see which one looks the closest to what you had. If you are running win xp, it should be under something like
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\26gmlxfr.slt\bookmarks.html .

    Once you find the right one you can either copy and paste the contents of one file into the one of the current profile, or copy the whole file into the new one.

    Some days I just hate jackin with these dern machines.... :grin:
