Xenon fender flares and rusted quarter panl

    Howdy...

    I have 90' Jimmy. Both quarters are rusted out a bit above the fender well. As you all know the rear quarter panel wheel well is a bit lower cut than the front fender well. I am getting ready to partial restore and repaint. I am also planning on puttin on some of those Xenon fender flares as I have an offset wheel.

    Here is the question:

    You think I could just trim the rear quarter panel wheel well up far enough to cut out the rust and get even with the front fender well and still mount the fender flare ? Has anyone tried this and how does it look ?
