Sorry but the Gold Rush Page is down for some reason. I'll try and fix it tommorrow. For now goto http://www.goldrush2.coloradok5.com for pictures of Y2K5 Run.

Well I have been working on this all night. My computer crashed halfway through putting up the page. Anyways here is what I have so far. http://goldrush.coloradok5.com and click on Y2K5 PAGE. I will try and put the rest of what I have up tonight. If anyone who was there that took pictures would e-mail them or snail mail them to me I sure would appreciate it. I'll post everything that people send me. Also Gold Rush needs fuel injection. Anyone having ideas let me know the technical specifics. I did find a 1992 454 (60,000 miles) with TBI (out of a 16 passenger van) and all wiring with computer for $2000. Also found complete late 80's TBI unit for $400 and a 86 TPI unit for $1500. Do any of these sound feasible? I would like to go with the 454 but don't know if I'll have time before the 1st of August (when I move to Newport, WA area) to install it.

    Thanks,
    David 75K5

If I were you, I'd make a search for TPI on ebay. There are plenty of used sets over there. For a blazer, TPI is better than TBI. My guess is you could find a complete system for under $700 over there.

There's an auction for a 1999 fuel injection kit for vortec heads that should end soon. The last time I checked it was about $300. Now, wouldn't that be great?! Just rebuild your engine, drop a pair of vortecs and a 1999 fuel injection!

Great pictures David! I couldn't believe I had to winch up that lame chute. My carb kept flooding out on that rock causing me to roll back in that tree which resulted in a few dents. I should of had that fuel injection on 2 months ago but my head shop still has the manifold so they can match it to my heads. Think its about time I tell the head shop to get it done and get that on my K5 ASAP. Steve Watson made every obstacle look so easy!

Because it sure wanst muddy... you have probably been out there for hours with a tooth brush cleaning every crevise..... Just teasing.... Glad you guys had a good time. I just wanted to give you a little crap because I am jealous. You not only have a bad ars truck, but your actually moves. The only mud hole I saw was the one that you see Steve and Sean stuck in. Seans Jimmy has 38's with I think a 10" lift and his hood was level with the ground! Steve has front and rear lockers where I only have rear for now so I knew I wasn't going to make it. Got two more dents on the same rear quarter panel going up another chute and coming too close to another tree. My Blazer was really liking the trees that weekend!

Tree Magnet huh. Tellico has to damn many trees on the sides of the trails, just ask Jim, some are damn close and we did not go to rail 8,9 or 7. They are really close there. Glad to see yall had a good time and got some battle scars.

Good pics David. Are they showing the toughest parts of the trail? Or are there tougher? I really love the rockcrawling photos, but It would take a heck of a lot of courage to drive Thumper down there and tackle something like that. I could probably make it, but it looks soooo scary! [IMG]

Glad you had fun, if anything is happening a little closer to the Canadian border, let me know! Next year might just be feasible...
