I copied this transcript off of ABC news I think it pretty much says it all

America is making a broad and determined effort to confront these dangers. We have called on the United Nations to fulfill its charter, and stand by its demand that Iraq disarm. We are strongly supporting the International Atomic Energy Agency in its mission to track and control nuclear materials around the world. We are working with other governments to secure nuclear materials in the former Soviet Union, and to strengthen global treaties banning the production and shipment of missile technologies and weapons of mass destruction.

In all of these efforts, however, America's purpose is more than to follow a process — it is to achieve a result: the end of terrible threats to the civilized world. All free nations have a stake in preventing sudden and catastrophic attack. We are asking them to join us, and many are doing so. Yet the course of this Nation does not depend on the decisions of others. Whatever action is required, whenever action is necessary, I will defend the freedom and security of the American people.

When I left work this afternoon one of the guys asked me what I was doing this evening. So I told him I was gonna watch the State of the Union. He looked at me kinda funny and said whats that. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif I was like it a speach that the President gives every year to let the people know whats going on with the country. He said so whats the big deal aint nothing going on. I said well we are at the brink of war. Then he said with who. I was like are you serious, don't you keep up on the news. He was like I don't have TV. I told him he was a lost cause.
Oh and by the way he's also my forman. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Since I work night and watching the President at home is not an option I gave all the employees of my department the option of watching the entire speach in the confrence room or to continue to work I only had 2 people that continued to work then they bitched to me that it wasn't fair they had to work go figure

Being a republican heart and soul and my roomate a strong non budging from his views democrat the president really used some words that must have moved many of people more than i would have ever guessed. We have been getting into heated discussion lately over going to war and how he thinks its such a horrible thing and how we shouldn't go now. As in he thinks something should be done just why now and not now leave the innocent alone! Besides the point....either way we watched the address in totally different locations and when I returned to my room this evening he says to me. Its time to goto war! (In an exclamation and all) I was like HOLY SH#@#@#@! I doubt and know not every person feels that way now and I know the ignorant didnt even watch /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif what I do know is I support our president and our troops /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

Does preempting it with porn qualify as a legitimate reason?
