Work good if ya want to weld on exhaust or body panels, not near enough current there to stick any real metal together. look at the size of the leads, Depends on what ya want to weld i guess.

You can get a Hobart Handler 175 brand new for $560 all day long on Ebay with free shipping. Why buy that junk when a real welder is so close in price?

I know everyone loves HF but you really gotta watch what you get there. They've got some great deals but they also sell some real crap.

Notice that they try to make it look like a Miller in the pic so you'll want to buy it. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

I agree with Tim, a lot of HF stuff is junk. I have bought angle grinders from them before and have them quit working 6 months later. Chicago brand is not all that good. It's kind of like Kragen remanufactured parts...all crap. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

I have 2 lincolns a 100(the summit $479 one, didn't get it there but same welder), and the Lincoln SP-135, I don't use the 100 in all the fab work I've been doing. Found the little more heat of the 135 was better for the cage, suspension and all that work.
