Is that woman supposed to be crawling out from inside you? If not, then what the hell is that thing she's sitting in?

Maybe you're trying to let the inner woman inside of you out. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I think she's sitting on a hill top, with her wings folded, drawn (?) behind her. not sure though.

she is sitting on a rock outcropping with her wings folded behind her. I made a website with all my tattoos here.
And this is the original piece that the tattoo is copying.

Gonna get a classical gothic angel on the other side?

That pic is remincent to me of Borris Vallejo, are you familiar?

You could probably have your truck done by now if you didn't spend all you cash on tats /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

That looks cool! I thought it was a cacoon at first... some coloring will cool on that.
I have a calender of a guy that does a lot of that type drawing, I'll see if I can find it. I have a book by him also. Lots of cool stuff. I was going to get one of them tatted but I figured I would wait till I draw my own stuff (so it will likely never happen /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif). On any account /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

    Sled Dog-

I've noticed a lot of your posts about Tattoos... I've wanted to get tattoos for a long time and there are a couple of things that have kept me from doing it:

    1) Cold hard cash. I want something detailed and colorful so could be some bucks.

    2) Worried about getting a really crappy job done by a bad artist. How do you find a good artist?

I probably won't get but one or two really detailed, colored ones so I want to be sure they're sweet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think you can gauge an artist by his portfolio and the cleanliness of his shop

I try to ask around. If I see a tat that I like and it looks good then I ask the person who is the artist. It's a pretty good way to find local artists that don't have a big shop or maybe they're on the outskirts or something....

I don't usually like to show my tats to just anyone so I'm gonna keep it small and blury. This one's for you sled dog. Keep it up brother, you're not alone. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

My usual artist is a good friend of mine. her boss is the one who did my ribs. I work as a cashier so I see a lot of people and pretty much everyone I see with a tattoo I ask where they got it done. Once in a while I get a "don't go there" response. Lots of people go to the same shop I do. We have 2 good shops around here. Mine and Carl Hesse. Hesse is good but way to expensive. Like was said, take a good look at the shop if no one is getting tattooed when you are there come back some other time. You want to see how cleanly they are being, maybe how they prep and all.
