    I have seen a few on Heeps and saw them mounted on there side with the top facing the passenger side ...Can we mount the yorks on there side for OBA and not have any issues ...

    No, if you mount it on its side you will get oil in the air line. There is supposedly a fix for this but I have heard that then the seals let go.

    Actually, according to the York service manual they can be mounted straight up, at 45 or 90 degrees without a problem. However, contrary to what seems obvious (at least to me), you want the output on the bottom rather than the top. They come with left or right outputs so you need to make sure you get the right one for the orientation that you want.

    Here's a manual for a York clone made by CCI, these are supposed to be identical to the old Yorks.
