Nothing complements a guitar like a 1911 stuck on the backside for on stage defense !

nope, already have one. Colt Gold Cup 1911, made in mid 70's, it is the first gun I ever shot /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

    RIA/Olympic Arms

Has some affiliation with Charles Dally

From what i gather it's the one of the best entry level 1911 along with Springfield Mil Spec

not bad for the price though. just glad you didn't get a Llama 1911 /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif, I've heard nothing but bad function ability from those.

Yeah I really researched the 1911 and the number one POS was Llama

I'm wanting the Ruger P89 down at the local hardware store to replace it. I need something more economical and modern. I'm taking a hit in power but it's not like I'm going to be carrying a Jennings .32 /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

Later on I want to replace the Taurus M44 44 mag I sold and get a nicer 1911, maybe a Springfield Mil Spec, and a Bersa .380

Hmmmm only about $1000 worth of pistols right there....

I had the Ruger P90 DC, very nice gun and would love to own another one day, a friend of mine has the P89 and it is a sweet shooting gun, you will not be disappointed. do you plan on the one with the manual safety, the decocker, or the DOA?

the first gun I was going to buy was the Llama, I asked my cousin, who sells guns, and he plainly stated that he would kick my @ss, so that was all the research I needed!

check out the Kel-Tech .380, seems to be a nice piece for the money.

It's the manual safety version, it's a bit expensive, but by the time I bought one on the net and had it shipped in it would be $20 higher so I'm gonna skip the hassle.

I really like the feel of it, though arranging the wider body of the guna nd the fatter mags so i don;t look goofy is going to be a bit of a hassle.. I'm a bit put off to have a 9mm after a .44 mag and a .45 auto. It'll punch holes and it's cheap to shoot though. Hi cap is also nice.

Very glad to hear another goof opinion about it. Ruger never really seems to let people down.

I like the reputation of Kel Tec, but I have to admit, it's too goddamn ugly. It's a good partner to a Glock or Hi Point on the horrid asthetic scale, no matter how well they all work

    I'm always happy, that's how

I applied for a $600 bank loan to establish a credit rating so I can get a sears card, and also so I can sell my 1911 at my liesure.... but mostly for the gun

Rock Island Armory has been around for a LONNNGGGG time. I live very close to there. A lot of good machinists and such in the area, with Springfiels Armory, J. Deere, Case IH, Case, Cat, and a whole butload of others....
