Well Shannon, being that I drive into Portland to work I see that guy in a different car everyday. LOL
Some days are worse than others.
If it ever snows I am gonna call in sick.
It is sad enough that people that live in an area that has 9 months of rain lose their minds and drive like morons when it is raining.
Ok 9 months is stretching it but it sure seems like it sometimes.
I remember the last time it snowed enough to cover the road. You would think that the local assylum let the inmates have a day pass.
Every as$hole with an SUV thinks that they are impervios to the road conditions and drive like an idiot.
Oh wait they have ABS and AWD. The laws of nature are for us lowly mortals. LOL
Hey whatcha doin tomorrow or Sunday?
wanna go shootin?

At least the old guy fessed up when he knew he was busted. Did he do any damage other than the "paint tranfer[IMG]"?

You know what's funny about this? About 6 years ago my wife and I drove down to San Diego. Our drive took us through Portland and I swear that out of the entire trip of 8000 kms(5000 miles) I was never as scared as when I had to go from the 84 to the 205. Guys were just driving like crazy and tailgating........I was like "HOLY CRAP, everyone in Portland must be really important!!!!!!"

7. that's really cool that the guy in the jeep went out of his way to find you and give a statement. you don't see that too often! most people just don't give a crap any more.

maybe you can get some high priced estamates now for the body damage and then take the money and go buy a dana 60![IMG]

Funny story......... reading that it reminded that 1 year ago today I was rear ended by a 2000 Honda Accord. I was sitting in a stopped lane of Xmas shopping center traffic when this guy just slammed into me doing about 30 mph. I was stunned, I didn't know what the hell had happened. All I knew, I was sitting there all fat, dumb and happy and then WHAMMO! crunching metal, broken glass flying past my window, then this really big huge guy gets out and says jeeeezus, man I'm sorry! It was great. His car was smashed. My reciever hitch is welded to my frame and he hit it full on! So this guy makes a few calls on his cell phone and his mom shows up with sodas and fudge and Xmas cookies.....I couldnt believe it! I thought they might've "spiked" at first but he was eating them so I thought "what the hell"! Cool thing is the cops never showed up so he never got a ticket and his insurance took care of me BIG TIME! I see him all the time, he honks and waves. Swear to God, it's all true!!! So if you guys have California Casualty for ins.carriers, they rock.

That jeep thing? Yah I understand it....... Like my Blazer? http://community.webshots.com/user/blazerk5

Glad you all are allright. Portland drivers suck, but from my travels and living in 5 other states, all states have sucky drivers. The thing that drives me crazy these days are the unreal amount of cell phone usage..........with people holding the darn things up to their ears. Haven't they heard about headsets or earpieces? Soccer moms in Expeditions are the worst............

The more I drive, the more I wonder when driver's licenses became the prize in a box of cracker jacks. It's pathetic. I have been without the Blazer over a week and it's even worse with a car! A lifted K5 with loud exhaust at least has an imtimidation factor LOL. Glad all turned out ok

How about a Suburban with a loud exhaust? :O) This thing, you'd figure couldn't be missed, especially because it's red, but on my way home from buying the thing, I had two people almost side-swipe me!!! They were probably just overcome with its beauty... LMAO, yeah right!

I totally understand what you're sayin, I used to drive 35 foot transit coaches while i was in college, you'd be amazed how many people have a blind spot the size of a Blue Bird TC2000, even when looking right at it, Oh i didn't see you!! ya, the 35 foot long 8 foot wide 9 foot tall Blue and Gold bus is kinda easy to miss.........Moron!!

I think the 405 through LA is prolly worse than Portland, but not by much. Portland is where I got rear ended by a drunk mentally unstable woman. Full size Ford pick-up @ 55 mph [IMG] I guess being drunk @ 11 am on a Sunday is perfectly understandable though...
All this happened about 3 blocks from Mudhog's place...

Yeah...I guess the worst part is that she had no insurance, or drivers license, or registration. I'm still fighting with my insurance company trying to get paid through the 'uninsured motorist protection'. So far they still don't want to pay for the damage to my truck[IMG][IMG]
