Is there a way to save a video off of YouTube to my computer?? I found a sweet Metallica vid that I want to save, but can't figure out how to do it (or if it is even possible).

I'd go "right-click" then "save as"

I've never done it on utube but that usually how I save interweb stuff to my harddrive

Yes, absolutely. BranndonC showed me a Firefox extension called video downloader. Read the instructions on the page. It will save files as *.flv (flash video), you need VLC or a few others to play it, or you can download programs (I use SUPER) to transfer it to another format, like *.wmv.

    1. Copy the vid url that's to the right of the vid.
    2. Paste link into the field at Keepvid.com and select youtube from the dropdown list
    3. Click download, and keepvid will make a link for you after a moment.
    4. Use the link to download the vid.
    5. After the download, rename the file with a ".flv" file extension, and use an flv player to play the files.
