    have u guys ever heard of zz series ingines are they a good buy or no becuase im interested in buyin one but i dunno if there a good reliable ingine or not ?.....thanks

    I've heard good things about them. New instead of rebuilt parts are nice to have. The rebuilt shortblock I put in my Blazer was OK, but the rebuilt heads sucked and so did all the head shops in town. So I called a Chevy Perf. Parts place and got some new L31 Vortec heads. Had to change out the manifold and valve covers, but it was worth it. Love the Vortec heads. If I had it to do over, I prolly would have saved up money for a ZZ4 motor.
