Overview
My brother has had this 05 Duramax 2500HD for a couple years now. In the last couple months he got super serious about the SAS project we have talked about since he bought the truck & in the last couple weeks we knocked it out.
The truck has over 250k miles, he has installed an aftermarket exhaust & done a couple things to it but when the front end needed a rebuild we knew it was gonna get a replacement instead.
He collected a set of 05 Super Duty axles, with 3.73 gears that match what his truck had. We decided to replace the front with the D60 & change out the rear 11.5" for the Sterling to keep the wheel bolt pattern consistent.
He ordered the WFO kit with mounts for factory for coil springs, instead of coilovers. When everything came in we rolled into the shop & got going.
After a few weekends we had the rubber back down on the road.
I'll get some more pics for y'all later.
