mason72 submitted a new Build:

72 k5 narrowed

Hopefully there's not too many purist's around here.
Before starting to cut my blazer up I wasn't able to find any real info or pics of the amount of work it might be or things I couldn't foresee being problems or difficult. So maybe the pics will help someone's decision in the future.View attachment 220482 View attachment 220483 View attachment 220485 View attachment 220486 View attachment 220490 View attachment 220491 View attachment 220492 View attachment 220494 View attachment 220495 View attachment 220496 View attachment 220497 View attachment 220498 View attachment 220499 View attachment 220500 View attachment 220501 View attachment 220502 View attachment 220503 View attachment 220505 View attachment 220506 View attachment 220507

When you said narrowed in your Moab thread, I assumed it was front to back. because I was thinking of narrowing a K5. Nice work on the boat siding.

Very cool.

I may at some point pick your brain about the hood. Mines not a first gen but the good stuff has always bugged me on a narrowed front end

Great work. I wish I would have taken the time when I narrowed my last rig to make it look right.

Not the first red 72 to get chopped up. Good job with the extra sheet metal getting to fit right.

I've never seen a fully narrowed front to back k5 only a truck cab. I've heard narrowed, dove tailed and boat side. I always considered this boat sided131_0806_04_z+fullsize_4x4_boatsiding+off_road_design.jpg

The next couple generations would be much easier to narrow the hood because they are flush with the fenders.

Thanks for the complements. It was a ton of work. Sean

Bad ass my friend. Man do I Miss being knee deep in cutting up my rig and fabbin and welding it all back together. Nice job.

This thing is awesome! Truly impressive man, I'll be subscribing to this one.
