It's not the octane helping with fuel economy. It's the lack of alcohol. Ethanol by itself has less power per gallon than straight gasoline. So it stands to reason, if we cut the straight gas with a percentage of ethanol, it will get less miles per gallon. So odd to think if they put that...

6,000 rpm? Since the big block went in I don't think my tach has swung past 5,000 rpm except trying to get stuck in the snow above Central City. Must be a small block thing...:haha:

I'm running a 4" single on mine and while I'm still not clear enough to do the math, it's probably undersized for the ideal numbers. But 4" is about as big as I can stuff under the hood (it touches the hood right now anyway) so you have to manage the compromise.

So two 4" ducts should be enough or that's two 6.5" ducts?

You can only add as much as it could take before it pukes out the center when you set it up vertically to put it back on the transmission. So it could take a quart or two. But be prepared for it to spill out as you got to install it.

One reason is, the converter will not be fully drained sitting on top of a bucket like that. You'll get half of it out, but not all of it. Plus the pump will fill it back up as soon as it's running.
