Since your at that stage do the pump mod while your at it. Mine turns fine with the stock pump on the street but Offroad you will need more. A power steering cooler and a larger reservoir will prob be needed too.

Cooler will be in the plans. I havnt had much luck modifying stock pumps but was thinking just putting a psc pump and res in. though, I have seen some guys on pirate put some type of extension on the top stock pump and a reservoir. Have any idea about that?

The psc pump is up to you, I'd try to modify the stocker, with enlarging the hole and stretching the spring. But just only go one or 2 sizes bigger..nothing big. The reservoir extension I have, its from an old dodge caravan/Plymouth voyager. For a reservoir the older trucks with hydroboost have a nice reservoir with the bracket. I have it and never used it, my steering works fine so far with out it.

Opened up the 241 to take a look and switched the front output to get the flange mounted instead of a yoke. I must say, I have never opened up a case before and this 241 is super simple.

more progress:
Got the tire is at full lock with the axle 2" forward. I should have some good clearance.
Started the xmember today, got lots more work to it. I plan on integrating the Artec brackets into it, not just under it.

That's awesome man! Looks like the frame rails on those trucks are deep enough that you can tuck everything way up in there out of the way.

Glad to see this coming together. I'm interested to see what you do on the steering. My pump sounds like its about to give up and I've been thinking about trying to figure out something for hydro assist.

I can see you have the 6.0 but do you also have the hydroboost and pump or do you still have all half ton stuff? I was told the 6.0 pumps are better by producing more flow. I've been good to do the pump mod as well on these to help it a little more.

I moved the hydroboost to the half ton cab. My pump gets pretty pissed off after a little bit of wheeling. I've thought about adding a bigger cooler, but the way its been sounding lately I'm sure its just a matter of time before I replace or upgrade or both.

I was told that the west Texas off-road mods work with these pumps.fyi

Nice, i looked for months on craigslist for good tire deals and could only find the 16.5 tires..lol...which is fine i guess. I like those beadlock wheels they make out of the h2 wheels, nice aluminum light wheels.

Dont go to crazy here..lol...your making me jealous. I had to order the wfo frame plates and now i want coilovers bad...:D

Funny thing about these tires. I contacted the guy probably 8months ago with interest in them but being 4 hours away. Avery had a trip planned down there after months of watching and hoping they didn't sell.

I've been working on my xmember and seems to be going well.
When its all bolted up I started thinking the thinner(1/2 thick) part right on the inside of the frame might be a week spot.
I used a 2x4 wood piece to represent the frame and thinking some gussets might be in order to keep it stiff. What do you guys think? is it necessary?

Today was a good day....Got the awesome Artec truss welded together and tacked in place along with the panhard mount axle side.
Im really not digging the frame mount from Artec. So, I was thinking something along the lines of this template I made. Two sides of course and a center piece tying them together with a few holes cut in the center to make it fancy.
