Have plenty of both and same to notch. And I always seem to do things the hard way.
Spare tire moved forward 3".
I'll say. You knotched up one of each just to see what it looked like? I think I would have flipped a coin, notched the first one, and never gone back.
If you haven't decided yet, I'd also vote for the round. For what very little it matters.

The square looks good caused it's squared at the end and I'm just weird.
I have until tomorrow to decide.
Had to cut the bent hitch apart, press the brackets back to straight. Drill all new holes in the frame. Hang the brakets from the frame then weld the cross section back in. I thought I had a hitch in back. Could not find it. It will show up next week.

Square looks better IMO. Round looks like an after thought
All I can say is that the vertical tubes make nice MIG torch holders.
