03 1500, Sold it.

Man I need to proof read when I type on my phone.

Update on the flatbed build. No pictures because of darkness. Went with round tube. Much easier to notch. But had to grind the anodizing off of all welding surfaces. Takes time. Went with 2x6 for the floor with 1 etrack on each side running front to back for tie downs. These are on 1x6 so the bed is flat throughout. Aluminium plate for the back skirt. Not sure what else to call it. Bought two four inch round LED lights, then remembered the stop and turn are separate. So went to get two more. No dice. "Our other store in town has them". Drove down there, nope. Don't even stock them.

Went to the "arm and a leg" truck parts store. Bought four matching four inch LED light and a license plate light. Man those things are bright. Got it all wired up and working. Thought I had LED load equalizers. Nope, or they are hiding. Ran to get some. Now the blinkers are not spastic.

Trailer plug is next. Just needed to shorten the harness. Why doesn't anything work? Ah. Bulb in the test light burned out. I have another one. Nope. Get multimeter out. Won't turn on. New battery. Still won't turn on. Crap. Solder two wires to a bulb to use. Drop said bulb and cut my finger picking it up.

Screw this. I am going to get a bulb and buy a tool box for the truck.

Driving home is when the transmission started acting up.

I parked it and watched TV.

Quite a day, eh? Well, your day could be worse. You could be a Democrat watching the election results. :haha:

Or a conservative Constitutionalist watching the results. Oh wait, I am. This sucks even more now.

Looking at rebuild kits and manuals now. Can't sleep.

Bah. I understand that sort of disappointment, but we both knew ahead of time that things were going to suck regardless of outcome. But some firm supporters are sitting there blindsided tonight. They are having a truly miserable night.

Here is the sign for you.

Ok, it's really my sign, too. :haha:

Trump=quick and painless
Clinton=long slow painful death

I'm ok with trump. I just hope I'm within the blast radius.

I got an led flasher unit for my truck when I converted the taillights to leds. Much less current draw that way.

Just leave them flashing really fast, it gets more attention. Did you make sure to get lots of chicken lights so you can be a supertrucker? Oh an some naked lady mud flaps when you went to the big truck store.

You're going to start the "naked lady flaps" discussion again? :doah: :doah:

No more derailing.

So I drained the fluid this morning. Was old, but nothing foreign looking I. It. Could not get yhe pan off all the way because of the exhaust. Cleaned a good as I could with white rags. Just old fluid.

Filled and drove it 20 miles or so today. Kept getting a little better. Now it seems fine. I can not make it slip. But I wonder when it will @babaganuke.

I think the square looks better. is there going to be a piece of metal over that area?

I don't know if I should be proud you are using that tag or not.

Own it! its yours...:haha:

Glad you got yours working Wade! :thumb:

I have gotten two working good by changing the fluid and filter, a th400 and a th350. Didn't have the same luck with a 4l60e it needed a rebuild.

Drove around some today. Transmission seems fine. Dodged that bullet.

Does anybody know what the 8th, light blue, wire at the trailer plug is for? I can't find any thing that shows it.
