My sister has a 2003 tohoe that she uses to tow her horse trailer...
She has had the truck in the dealer several times to repair the factory air ride system. She wants to upgrade the rear suspension, does anyone have any experiance with making these rigs more tow worthy?

If it helps, I'll post some pics of her.:D

Thanks in advance.

Couldn't hurt  What keeps breaking? Are the bags blowing out? I'm sure with a little work you could swap in a different set of bags, ones with a higher load rating

Exactly what is breaking on the air-ride system? If it's the airbags, upgrade.

The airbags, compressor..have been replaced. I'll check into replacing the bags and install a swaybar set-up..

Thanks!!!

couldnt you just take out the air ride and put springs back there?
X2, this is very popular with the old lincoln towncars that always blow out the bags. Also does anyone know if the newer 3/4 ton suburbans have bags? If so, that would probably be an upgrade over your tahoe bags

Last I remember, the 8.1L Suburbans had the autoride option, but the 6.0L Subs had the "firm ride" springs.
