Did the 1 inch BL without dropping the tank without any issues on my burban. Really dig the ORD 1" BL with the tapped pucks to upgrade the poorly designed rear body mount locations from the factory. But I DID have to buy some (2 I think) of my own bolts to install the kit the way I wanted to.

That is good news... I'm kind of nervous about doing it, but if it goes in easy I'll be happy. I am thinking of doing the shackle flip, body mounts, and body lift all in one shot.

Hopefully ill be getting the lift and new poly mounts come payday, depending on my other truck getting fixed.

Anyone have some pics of the bumper gap with a 1inch BL? Preferably a '73-'80?

I took a 3 inch body lift off my k10. Very easy to do. I was able to do it all without any help. The sadle tank then it stays in place during the whole process. The steering shaft extends enough you just have to extend the stifter linkage. Mine had no linkage so i made one out of all-thread. I'll probably buy the 1inch set from ORD once i have my 38.5's.

With the bed i was able to get under and lift it with my back (if that makes sense) and worked on moving the pucks. The cab should be done one side at a time to keep the body in line.

I did a 1" body lift and new bushings on my '90 V2500 about a year ago. I'm taking apart a '91 V2500, and last night as I was pulling the front axle out, I kept thinking of this thread/poll, because everything I did, it was like I needed just one more inch of clearance for my tool.

1" body lift = win.

How does the transmission linkage need to be adjusted when doing a 1" body lift if at all?

I have new poly bushings to install soon. Does anyone have any good tips or gotcha's when installing new body mount bushings? I hate learning the hard way!!

For my ORD 1", I did one side... then the other. Had to trim the fan shroud to fit, and had to weld an extension onto the trans linkage rod in order to reattach. It was too short. I think this varies from truck to truck quite a bit.

Also, hopefully the captured nuts in the body aren't too rusted up. If so, they'll spin and you're going to have to cut access in the floor in order to get a wrench on them.
