hello,

I've found a K35 Crew Cab in the local junkyard
what are all required parts to complete the swap ? U-bolts ? steering parts ?
and does the front D60 come with 3.73 ratio ?

my truck is a 1986 K15 with stock front 10-bolt

You will need ubolts, if you have any lift, you will need a steering block, crossover, or a dropped arm. The gears are a guess.....pop the cover and check it out. Post the numbers you see in the diff.

I would rebuild the axle first, if its not in the best of shape.

You will also need the spring plates (pieces that sit on top of the springs and the u-bolts go in to). Everything else should basically bolt up.

If the truck is a dually, then the front axle will be significantly wider than what you currently have (3-4" per side).

Also, what do you have for a rear axle? Or are you already addressing it to make the 8-lug bolt pattern (you said K15 with stock front axle, so have to assume it's all stock 6-lug stuff).

Other than the above mentioned stuff, it wil bolt in. Driveshaft, brakes, steering will all bolt up....

actually it has a 3/4 ton gear
14BFF rear + 10-bolt front

as I understand I need,
the D60 front end + U-bolts + Spring Plates
and stock steering from the 10-bolts should work

thanks a lot

Your stock steering arm will not work on a from a 10 bolt. The draglink will. If you dont have a lift, the stock arm on the 60 will be fine.

sorry for my ignorance
but which one is the steering arm ? is it the one connected to the pitman arm ?
